ZOE’S JOURNEY

My journey with clay began over twenty years ago when I took a course in a traditional Japanese method of ceramics. New students were advised against keeping their creations for the initial two months. The emphasis was solely on the process rather than the end product. This early introduction shaped my approach to working with clay and taught me to be present, to slow down, to feel my breath, and taught me to embrace non-attachment. The practice continues to be instructive in all aspects of my life.

I hope the pleasure I experience creating my pieces translates to the objects I make, and brings equal pleasure to those who use them on a daily basis.
